There's an ongoing discussion of the book at the Steve Hoffman music forum (link above). I wasn't aware of the site before now but it seems like a good place for intelligent discussion and new information. Really enjoyed the album by album run through the Boz Scaggs catalog. Thanks for the tip!

i started reading your book and thought i would say it's great but your book goes beyond BIG STAR and RADIO CITY LP ,IT'S ABOUT THE MUSIC TO ME!!!!!
growing up in los angeles in the 1960's i was exposed to alot of different music.
in 1965 the WATTS RIOTS in LOS ANGELES happend (anger,hate,destruction),the list goes on.
in the aftermath of the riots and wonderfull thing sprang up THE WATTS FESTIVAL was born!
the MUSIC brought people together a common thread for all races of people.

Love the book! Thanks so much for all of your work. I was wondering if you had any info or involvement with the supposed Big Star boxset. Is this really coming out or is this just wishfull thinking? Any and all news would be appreciated. Again, thanks for such an incredible book that has made lots of people happy!
